Dear Friends in Unity,
Ministry is challenging. It challenges congregants who are devoted to a ministry. It challenges Board and staff, (if there is a staff) in the operation of the ministry. It challenges Spiritual leaders who are ultimately responsible for the spiritual direction of the ministry. Whether you are a congregant, board, staff or spiritual leader the challenges are many. You can name them on your own, I’m sure.
But the question is: “What is it that gives us the energy to keep facing the challenges?” Oh yes, it is Spirit Itself, for sure. It is also our commitment to our own spiritual journey, to each other and to the community of persons that we serve. We serve through our efforts and support; and sometimes simply by being present.
The Northwest Region of Unity Churches is also a community. As you know, we are looking forward to gathering together for Conference at Unity of Lynnwood in a few weeks. If you are reading this, you are part of this regional community.
Thank you to all those who have put time and energy into creating this gathering and thank you all who are already committed to be present. For those of you who are can come but have not made the commitment, I invite and encourage you to bless the community with your presence. As in your home community, just showing up can make vital difference.
Wishing You Peace from the Inside Out, Rich
