This Wednesday the 27th at 1pm Pacific we will have a community meeting about our annual conference.

We've had two online conferences that were each 3-4 days long. This model has allowed more folks to attend than have in the past, but there's disadvantages too. We'd like to talk about what could best serve our community going forward.

Virtual workshops spread through the year? Virtual conference similar to what we've done? In person retreat experiences? Sub-regional gatherings? Some combination of these? Something else?

We hope you'll join us for this exploration of possibilities

    October 27th, at 1 Pacific

The Spiritual Art of Self-Care Online
Taught by Rev. Jane Hiatt and Rev. Beth Welton-Miller

ONLINE 8 Week Class - Monday evenings

Through November 29, 6:30-8:30 pm (Pacific time)

Many of us, myself included, put the care of everyone we know—even the whole, wide world—ahead of our own care, and dust off our halos as we do so. But what if caring for ourselves is actually the first and most important step in caring for others? This love in action course is for people who are serious about engaging in the sacred work of self-care. It will be highly interactive and incorporate powerful ceremonies.

You can register for one session or a few sessions, available for SEE credit if you need that, and will be designed to help you totally shift your relationship to yourself as a priority. However, it will also be available as a series of individual topics so you can register for just a single session or a few sessions if that works better for you.

    Individual sessions

November 1: Day of the Dead: Honoring Loss and Grief

November 8: Achieving Lift Off: The Power of Positive Thoughts

November 15: Wholly I Am: Healing and Wellness as a Lifestyle

November 22: Please Pass the Love Pie: Fostering Holiday Harmony

November 29: Be the River: Create a Balanced Flow of Giving and Receiving

    $15 for individual sessions

Self-Awareness Class - SEE Credit Available

    September 11, 18 & 25 | 10:30a-2:30p

    Facilitated by Audrey Pitchford, LUT

    Cost: $75

    Platform: Online via Zoom

Self-awareness is necessary for optimal balance and functioning in life. To be self-aware is to realize the dimensions of self and the states of those dimensions.

Course Description: Human beings are more than physical body; they also have spiritual and soul (psyche) dimensions which are equally if not more important than the body. Students will explore the dimensions of self by studying various systems and techniques for self- awareness. They will become more conscious of: their attitudes, beliefs and ways of being; symptoms of stress and imbalance; healthy responses to stress and imbalance; and how to integrate spiritual principles to maintain balance and honor all facets of their being.

Recommended reading (required for SEE): Butterworth, Eric. 1982. In the Flow of Life. Unity Village Publisher, Unity Books. Hendricks, Gay. 2000. Conscious Living: Finding Joy in the Real World. San Francisco: Harper San Francisco.

For SEE Credit: This course is open to all and available for Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) credit. Students must register with Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute. A one-time fee of $35 to enroll with UWSI as a student, and $45 for credit for this course
