in November
Sundays 12-1:30pm Nov 8, 15, 29, Dec 6: How to be an Antiracist by Ibram X Kendi
Please join us for a fascinating and empowering look at race in America. Professor Kendi writes compellingly to transform your view of racism. By exploring unjust systems, we gain an understanding of how we got here and what we can do to make things better. (No SEE available)
Sat 10:30-1pm Nov 7, 14, 21, 28: Discerning Your Purpose
The Spiritual path diverges in many ways. Discerning which path to take is both a reflective and an action-packed process. We look at our strengths and abilities, our desires, and passions to help us determine what actions to take or better yet, to discover the questions. Being on the path of your purpose is enlivening and fulfilling and comes with challenges. We will invite our inner wisdom teacher to emerge, it knows the way.
Each class has a cost of $80. They will be taught by Reverend Elect, James Tierney.
Classes are on Zoom.
NW Regional Conference Recap
Our NW Regional Virtual Conference exceeded expectations in so many ways. We are so grateful for everyone who participated. There was a richness to the content that will have us mulling over the ideas for a long time. If you missed the conference this time, we hope you will mark your calendars for the 3rd week of September next year. Given the uncertain state of affairs with the virus, we plan to offer another online conference. Your Regional Board will be looking at other ways that we can connect. And, speaking of that Board, we have made a few changes. Rev. Cheryl Mayes has joyfully moved into full retirement with her beloved. She has been replaced by Rev. Terry Murray as Regional Rep. Linda Andrus, LUT, is our new treasurer. We welcomed Rev. David McArthur and Joanna Gabriel onto the Board.
Reports, presentations, and musician contact info from the conference are available here https://www.unitynwregion.org/reports-resources

Many of you have asked about viewing recordings of the conference. It may take a couple weeks for the technical aspects to be completed, we will let you know when it's ready.
