The EarthCare program exists to help your congregation grow and thrive by fostering awareness of our spiritual oneness with our Earth home and promoting active care of creation. The EarthCare program helps with:

  • Guiding congregations through the simple process of getting established as an EarthCare congregation
  • Improving energy, water and waste efficiency at your facilities
  • Establishing environmental education programs
  • Every EarthCare program is totally unique

Getting started is as easy as having your Board and minister agree to environmentally responsible practices and stewardship and then beginning simple practices such as setting up a recycling program or improving energy efficiency. After that, well, the skies the limit! Each EarthCare program is unique based on the congregations needs and interests.

The EarthCare program offers great opportunities for youth engagement and leadership. It also provides opportunities for community events and engagement and drawing interest from younger people who are spiritually interested and also committed to environmental and social action.

GUEST SPEAKERS' LIST

We have many spiritual communities in our region who do not have a minister and are regularly looking for speakers. The Regional Board is in the process of compiling a list of good speakers who might be interested in traveling occasionally to these communities. Please help us by identifying appropriate talented individuals in your community and send their names to Elaine Cornick who is compiling the list. Elaine@ElaineCornick.com.
TWELVE POWERS BANNERS FROM SEATTLE UNITY

Seattle Unity blessed and honored Unity in Lynnwood with their collection of handmade, Twelve Powers banners. We humbly and gratefully accepted this gift, but they are far too large to enjoy an ongoing place of honor in our facility.

Rev. Karen agreed that it may be more appropriate to share the banners individually with other centers in the region on a first-come basis.

If you are interested, please contact drRichard@unityinlynnwood.org

High Profile Speakers
If anyone has one or more high profile speakers coming that others could piggy back on, please send that information to be included in this newsletter.
