THE EARTHCARE PROGRAM
SU Green Team Hosts Earth Ministry Speaker Dec. 1

“‘Tis The Season With a Reason”! Right after the Dec. 1st service, Seattle Unity’s Earthcare Ministry/Green Team will have a short business meeting and at 11:45 welcome guest speaker Maddie Smith of Earth Ministry/Washington Interfaith Power and Light (we’re a Congregational Member) with background on that group and their endorsement of City of Seattle's Green New Deal/Jobs Initiative as well as preparation for the 20TH anniversary of Earth Day in spring 2020.

NOVEMBER UNITEENS RETREAT REPORT

We had an amazing Fall Unitreat with 15 Adults and 20 Uniteens from ten Unity Centers - West Linn, Grants Pass, Salem, South Sound, Lynnwood, Portland, Yakima, Eugene,Olympia and Port Angeles.

Our theme Volcanic Friendship Blast was manifested in the physical world by the building and blasting of a volcano. The metaphysical manifested in discussions, meditations of how we are similar or different from a volcano. We explored how volcanoes create new land, destroy land yet leave all things needed for a dynamic re-emergence. We bridged the concrete-abstract mind and heart to identify friendship, trust and connection.

We also had FOUR pairs of Grandchildren and Grandparents, one set of mother-child. A true multi generational event.

We hope many sponsors and adults can look at their service desire and choose to spend 3-6 days with us at Summer Unitreat, June 21-26.

GUEST SPEAKERS' LIST

We have many spiritual communities in our region who do not have a minister and are regularly looking for speakers. The Regional Board is in the process of compiling a list of good speakers who might be interested in traveling occasionally to these communities. Please help us by identifying appropriate talented individuals in your community and send their names to Elaine Cornick who is compiling the list. Elaine@ElaineCornick.com.
TWELVE POWERS BANNERS FROM SEATTLE UNITY

Seattle Unity blessed and honored Unity in Lynnwood with their collection of handmade, Twelve Powers banners. We humbly and gratefully accepted this gift, but they are far too large to enjoy an ongoing place of honor in our facility.

Rev. Karen agreed that it may be more appropriate to share the banners individually with other centers in the region on a first-come basis.

If you are interested, please contact drRichard@unityinlynnwood.org

High Profile Speakers
