Resources for You During this Challenging Time
Dear Friends,
We know that not all of our ministries have the resources, technical, time, or financial, to launch online ministry. In an effort to support each other, we have created a page that lists the various services and meetings happening at Unity communities across the region. Please you'll let us know if you have things you'd like to add. https://www.unitynwregion.org/resources-during-covid-19
We know that right now connection with our community is important, so one way you could use this list is invite your group to watch a particular service and then have a video or telephone conference fellowship time following.
Rachel Simpson, Board Chair, is available if you need some tech support or prayer support, please reach out nwunitychair@gmail.com to schedule.
Rachel is also offering daily meditations:
M-F Meditation at 1 PM Pacific Time on the NW region Facebook page
We are here for and with you.
With love,
NW Region Board

Empower Music & Arts and the amazing musicians who are part of our community have created a special playlist of music for times like this:
Laura DuBois and her team in Eugene created a video of gentle music which can be watched here https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=199144748056522
A message from Sue Riley at Empower Music and Arts
Hi Friends,
Many churches have been writing us for advice and help to do live streaming and Facebook live since they can’t hold church in the normal way.
We have the Music Rights License in place for most New Thought music. That license allows the music team to perform the song, project the lyrics, create a service CD using the music, and we have extended it to include live streaming, archiving and Facebook Live. Churches would need the license and they would report the song use as usual.
However, we’ve heard that many churches are streaming from their living room or don’t have the technology to have their musicians livestream. So, empower has gotten permission from the following artists to use their actual recordings for the church services: Daniel NahmodKaren DruckerJana StanfieldStoweGoodSue RileyGlen RoethelRichard MekdeciSloan WainwrightDenise RosierDavid RothFaith RiveraHarold PayneMelinda Allen. If there is someone missing from the list that folks want to use, I can write them. Every artist is saying "yes" and they are grateful and happy to help.
Sometimes, FB flags songs when a church is using the actual recording. To that end, we’ve asked our attorney to write a “permission to perform” letter that I can adapt to each church, and maybe that will help.
emPower is here and ready to help in any way that you can think of.
The Butterfly Effect is the concept that the flap of a butterfly's wing in Brazil can affect weather patterns around the world. If this is true, then every single action we take to benefit the Earth has a cumulative effect. Each prayer, refusal to accept single-use plastic, and each piece of garbage we pick up makes a difference. Take one action each day and be the butterfly effect for the healing of our Earth.
The EarthCare program exists to help your congregation grow and thrive by fostering awareness of our spiritual oneness with our Earth home and promoting active care of creation.
